Storm Windows stepped up our support for the heritage sector with our headline sponsorship of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) Heritage Awards event.
SPAB shares our passion, aims, and dreams that our rich built heritage should be protected, maintained, and enhanced to ensure their ongoing survival.
The team at SPAB work tirelessly to promote this agenda, providing training to the architects, craftspeople, and designers of the future. They provide expert guidance on the care, repair, and maintenance of old buildings so that future generations can continue to enjoy them.
The SPAB Heritage Awards are a unique celebration of the passionate and skilled individuals and companies working in the sector. Over 230 people were present at Conway Hall for the event, with regional branches in Dublin and Glasgow holding watch parties.
The evening saw Mitch, one of our Directors, making a short speech, as well as awards being presented to the best craftsperson, a Sustainable Heritage Award and a John Betjeman inspired award for conservation projects in religious buildings. A Best Loved award was also voted by the public.
The true highlight of the evening was meeting Kevin McCloud whom we’ve always admired for the work he does within the heritage sector.
The team at Storm were delighted to be a part of the event that brought together individuals and companies that share our commitment to protecting and enhancing old buildings. It was great to meet old friends and new and find out more about interesting projects around the country.
