So, it’s with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to Guy Griffiths.
Guy is leaving us for an exciting new venture that is close to his heart. He is going to be working with his Brother at their family business, Hi-Tech Motorsport and we couldn’t be more pleased for him (even though it leaves a sizable Guy-shaped hole in our company!).
Guy has been with Storm Windows for 10 years and during this time has worked in all sectors of our business, which has given him a great understanding of our product and company from surveying to manufacturing to fitting.
Over the years, his role developed from estimating to include the production management and thanks to Guy’s input, we have seen a real improvement in our lead-times and production planning over this period.
This role takes an immense amount of time and dedication, something which has never faltered with Guy. We are immensely grateful to Guy for the commitment he has shown to Storm over the last 10 years so before he goes, we thought we would share the number one thing we’re going to miss about him…
First and foremost, what we’re going to miss about Guy the most is his dog! (only kidding Guy, don’t get jealous). Guy owns a super-cute Scottie dog called Dexter that he brings into the office every now and again. Dexter has become just as much a part of the Storm family as Guy himself and although Dexter is useless at giving project estimates, he has been fantastic at hoovering up the office biscuits (not unlike Guy himself in that respect!). Dexter has also featured in a couple of our adverts, so he has certainly proven to have star-quality. We’re going to miss having him around but obviously not as much as Guy!
It’s time for a new challenge for Guy, as he moves to his own family-run company Hi-Tech Motorsport to work as their Office & Logistics Manager. Motorsport is one of Guy’s many passions, so we know he can’t wait to get stuck in. It’s been an absolute pleasure working alongside Guy over the last 10 years and he has been a key member of the team. We wish him the very best for the next chapter of his career and we know he’s going to smash it.
Guy, you will always have an open invitation to come and see us to say hello and let us know how you’re doing…just don’t forget to bring Dexter with you!!
