Last year George Parkes did the Bathams 9 sponsored cycle ride where, for charity, 9 of Bathams fabulous pubs form a part of a sponsored cycle ride.

It’s somethind George enjoys so he does it every year!

This time Oliver and George’s eldest son Jonathan accompanied him on this pub crawl…..sorry….charity event….raising money for Macmillan and the Mary Stevens hospice.

Unfortunately, there was a bit of an incident on the day with Jonathan falling from his bike and breaking his collar bone (nothing to do with the pub refreshments we are reliably informed). In all seriousness, Jonathan is fine and on the mend and we congratulate all three of them on raising funds for such an important cause.

The Bathams 9 cycling initiative was founded in 2003 and aims to raise £100K by the end of this year. Around 40 miles are covered so it’s no mean feat….especially after you’ve visited 9 pubs!
