Cranbrook and Sissinghurst in Kent are famous around the world as the home of Sissinghurst Castle.
Purchased by Harold Nicolson and Vita Sackville West in 1930, it became a refuge for the couple, who created an iconic English country garden that still attracts thousands of visitors every year.
Cranbrook Vestry Hall may not be as grand as the nearby castle, but it’s just as important to local residents. This hall has been the centre of community life for decades and recently underwent a restoration and rebuilding process.
As part of this process, the trustees of the hall commissioned Storm Windows directly to fit 50 windows across 2 installations.
We fitted shaped slimline units into the building ahead of its reopening in August. With extra warmth and lower energy bills, our windows will ensure that the village hall is fit for purpose going forward.
Our village halls are much loved and valued places in our rural communities, hosting parties, meetings, village productions, and other events. We hope that with new energy-efficient sympathetic glazing from Storm, the village hall can better serve the community of Cranbrook and Sissinghurst.
