There are some streets in London that could have come straight from Mary Poppins, they scream grandeur, sophisticatation and are the heigh of luxury city living.
This year we’ve been privileged to be involved in work on a couple of developments.
The first was in Great Cumberland Place, a row of beautiful multi-storey homes in a prestigious W1 postcode, just a few minutes’ walk away from many of the capital’s cherished landmarks.
Many of the homes there are converted into flats and we were called in to fit secondary glazing to the 12 windows – each of them around four metres tall.
We had to hire a flatbed vehicle to get the glazing down to London.
Our help was needed to help cut out some of the noise pollution that is an inevitable drawback to city living and make sure the windows were draught-proof.
The developers knew of our passion for making sure history, heritage and character is maintained at all times and we ensured all the windows retained all their original elegance and beauty.
We were delighted with the outcome and so was the client.
