George joined us at the end of last year and has been working alongside Oliver and Warwick as a Surveyor/Fitter Apprentice.
We sat down with him for a Q&A, here’s what he had to say!
What is your role?
I see jobs through from start to finish really. I meet with clients to discuss with them the best solutions for their windows and issues. I then provide detailed measurements for the manufacturing team and template any shapes for cutting. Finally, I help install the windows once made. The most important part of it all, though, is making sure the customer is informed and happy at every stage.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
I enjoy every aspect of my role, but mostly it’s the contact I have with clients, knowing the details we discuss throughout the project make the biggest difference for them. I make sure they get exactly what they want from our products. Although lunch is always a highlight of my day too.
What are your hobbies and interests?
Being 18 I’m still living at home, still terrorising mom and dad daily and I have two older sisters as well. I would say my spare time centres around sport. In the summer I play cricket for Pedmore Cricket Club with what some would call mixed success. I’ve also developed an obsession with cycling and bikes in general. So, don’t get me started on the subject of two wheels otherwise you won’t shut me up!
George is doing a fantastic job already and we’re thrilled to have him on board.
