The event was held at the Liverpool Medical Institute, hosted by the North West Branch of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.
The IHBC is the principal UK organisation responsible for the preservation of historic structures and conservation areas.
Its members work in local authorities and other publically-funded bodies, such as English Heritage, but also in private practices and UK conservation organisations.
Conference attendees included surveyors, planners, architects, conservation officers, urban designers, structural engineers and heritage managers – and of course, our very own Mitch Reece, technical manager and Guy Griffiths, our estimator.

The talk centred on educating people about meeting the housing needs in historic buildings, and it was fantastic to see so many people as passionate about the issues surrounding older premises as we are!
