We love attending the Listed Property Owner’s Club annual trade show! It’s one of the highlights of our yearly calendar, so we (along with all the other trade exhibitors and property owner attendees) were heartbroken to hear it would be cancelled this year.
Like every other event, it has of course been put on hold due to Covid-19, and we have to accept that this is the right thing to do to ensure everyone’s safety.
But it still leaves us a little deflated, not having the two-day event mingling with other companies in the heritage building trade. We have met so many other wonderful businesses including glazing specialists like ourselves, lime plasterers, stonemasons, historians, conservation officers and even historic garden designers. You name it, they’re there! Along with the wonderful property owners themselves, of course, who care deeply about their listed property.
Because we still wanted to feel a part of this vibrant community, we have instead written a feature for the club’s Listed Heritage Magazine.
They wanted to know all the details of our unique project at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea, home of the famous Chelsea Pensioners, which is something we’ve been involved in for ten years! If you follow our Facebook page, you’ll know we’ve been updating the West Wing and bringing its windows in-line with modern standards for the famous veterans that call it home. This has involved importing a special non-reflective glass from Germany and adapting our unit design so windows can open completely.
Please have a read of the full article to find out more about this exciting project!
Let’s hope by February 2022, however, we can be back in the hustle and bustle of the Listed Property Show exhibiting again. Perhaps we will see you there.
