We have talked previously about how our secondary glazing can play an important role in preserving the stunning windows of churches and cathedrals.

Our previous article ‘Secondary glazing provides divine solution for church windows’ describes how this can be challenging, but extremely rewarding work that we love to be involved in.

We’re thrilled to be adding to this portfolio of work, being contracted to revisit previous sites and add to earlier projects, as our ecclesiastical customers have been so delighted with the difference our glazing has made.

We have been invited to return to the diocese of Rochester following installation of secondary glazing to Rochester Cathedral, the second oldest cathedral in England founded in AD 604.

Storm will initially be fitting secondary glazing to the Archdeaconry, with work set to start in November.

We are also quoting for improvement works to the Rochester Almshouses, some of the affordable housing run by the Church which provide essential homes to people in need.

Almshouses provide an important contribution to the UK’s social housing landscape, as well as being an important aspect of the country’s heritage with over 30 per cent being listed buildings.

This would add to the catalogue of Almshouses we’ve worked on across the UK, including the Grendon and Atwell Palmer run by the Exeter Homes Trust and some privately-owned Almshouses in Camden.

More locally, we will be returning to Kingswood Church. After installing secondary glazing to some of the church windows earlier this year, we have been asked to complete the project and fit our units to the remaining church windows.

Whilst we love making new connections and introducing new customers to our glazing solutions, it’s always wonderful to get these return invitations. It proves our work is appreciated and valued and we love to keep in touch with the people and places we’ve worked with across our 19-year history as a company.
