We’re thrilled to have some of our team back in our head office and factory and it’s great to see everyone settling back in.
We’ve been picking up on projects that were postponed due to the COVID-19 shutdown, as well as starting work on further orders we’ve received over the past few weeks.
Although we were still operating in a small way from home, a great deal of our work had to be placed on hold until we were given the green light by the government, and put safety measures in place, to continue.
As with all businesses, we’ve had to re-think the way we work to comply with social distancing and safety guidelines in the wake of the pandemic.
Our premises have undergone a deep clean and we are still limiting the number of people on the manufacturing floor to ensure social distancing rules can be easily maintained. To begin with – only six of our manufacturing team are back on-site to minimise interaction.
We have also installed sanitising stations and are utilising perspex screens in the office and in our vans for the protection of our staff.
Our new protocols for visits to clients and potential clients’ properties are also in place so we can safely operate and offer protection and peace of mind to both customers and our employees.
This has allowed us to complete our installations at The Abbey Hotel in Bath, The Roundhouse and The Old School House in Farnborough already.
We’ve also revisited the historic Atwill Palmer Almshouses, in Exeter’s New North Road, where we’re planning to install secondary glazing to three 180-year-old Victorian buildings which contain 24 one-bedroom apartments, over 2 floors.
Our work is part of a larger remodel of the buildings to provide residents with updated and energy efficient apartments, more suited to modern day living.
Now we’ve completed our manufacturing survey, the glazing can go into production.
It’s been a memorable year in lots of ways for all of us, but a truly unforgettable one for Jayne and her husband Miles.
We wish you lots of joy and happy days ahead.
