We launched our fledgling business back in 2000 to solve a specific need for bespoke windows at beautiful Mere Hall in Worcestershire, a Grade I listed house built in 1610.
Little did we know we would be here 20 years later as one of the leading suppliers of bespoke quality secondary glazing across the whole of the country.
We now have a wealth of experience in the historic home sector and the privilege of working with the likes of The National Trust, English Heritage and more. That’s not to mention all the visionary private owners who have transformed their homes into magnificently restored, prestigious properties and developments.
We’re extremely proud of our heritage as a family-run business so it’s fitting that our newest Directors are Jayne and Mitch, daughter and son-in-law to founder Martin Walford.
The vision of Martin and business partner George Parkes lives on in not only Jayne and Mitch, but George’s sons Oliver and James, Oliver works as a surveyor and installer and James works in our Production Department.
Jayne’s sister (and Mitch’s wife) Jo helps keep the office in order, and the rest of the team who have become honorary family members through their commitment to the firm and its ethos.
Now, with a growing team of over 20 we’re honoured to be a go-to supplier for National Trust property renovations, historic churches and universities. We collaborate with architects nationwide. They put their trust in us when conservation of historic architecture is vital.
We’re also proud to have contributed significant amounts to local charities inspired by our Director George who worked tirelessly over the years to help raise more than £100,000. We’ve even been immortalised in a Black Country version of Monopoly as a sponsor of The Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge.
Our team continues to expand and we love welcoming new people on board, not only because they bring their own skills, experience and personalities, but also because this demonstrates more than anything how our business is flourishing.
Our growing reputation and experience in heritage works has led to a steady rise in the scale of our glazing projects.
Our team’s abilities and our flexibility in delivering very tailored products to highly specific briefs has led to us winning larger contracts, such as the Royal Chelsea Hospital
Alongside this, an influx of new customers are now taking advantage of the payment plan, which has boosted the number of installations.
Thank you everyone for your on-going support.
Here are five of our favourite projects from the last 20 years:
It was a tough choice…
Kew Gardens
We installed 23 of our slimline units, all UV filmed and powder coated in carriage green after a Lottery Fund grant gave a major refurbishment the green light.
Mere Hall Grade I listed building
Where it all began as the owners sought to upgrade the beautiful windows.
Royal Chelsea Hospital
Our largest contract to date as we help renovate dormitories at this iconic UK address.
Plas Newydd mansion
Oliver and Mitch worked working closely with the project team to complete two phases of works ensuring a much more comfortable environment.
Hatfield House
We installed new glazing across the whole estate which involved 500 properties from former workers’ cottages to a farmhouse and modern apartments.
