Formerly the Newman Brothers Factory, the building on Fleet Street is where furniture for the coffins of King George VI, Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother was made. Transformed into the Coffin Works museum, the improvement and restoration of this fascinating historic building is ongoing.
Working directly with the Birmingham Conservation Trust and in association with PNP Consultants and BPN architects, we produced and installed slimline, discreet secondary glazing to improve the efficiency of 28 windows.
A more energy-efficient building offering a warmer welcome to visitors, staff and volunteers.
