We happen to love a good board game here in the Storm offices, and there’s none more famous than Monopoly.
When we heard a local charity were commissioning their own Black Country version of the Hasbro classic, we jumped at the chance to be involved!
The game’s creators allow three limited edition versions to be created each year – and Mary Stevens Hospice of Stourbridge has been chosen to create one for Christmas 2019.
The game will pay homage to the Black Country with iconic locations in the region to be immortalised on the board.
We’re very excited to say we’re one of 22 sponsors who will have our own property square on the board, and a personalised ‘Community Chest’ or ‘Chance’ card.
It’s such a lovely project to be involved in and we’re sure it will be a hit with local Black Country residents – we’re a bunch who are pretty proud of our heritage!
We don’t have a launch date yet, but we’ll share that with you as soon as we know more.
The charity will benefit from sales of the game, as well as using our sponsor money to further their fundraising efforts to help local people coping with life-limiting conditions.
