A Customised Solution for a 17th-Century Manor House
historic country house
windows of various shapes and sizes, internal shutters
cold and draughts
individual tailor-made secondary glazing for each window
A stunning example of 17th-century country living, some parts of this stunning manor house date back to the Tudor period. With windows of all shapes and sizes, none of which are perfectly square, the owners also wanted to continue to use the internal shutters after installation.
Meticulously measuring each window, every secondary glazing unit was handmade to fit perfectly. Our slimline magnetic system offers easy access to primary windows and ensures internal shutters close properly too.
THE RESULT
“We always had a beautiful house, now we have one that is warm with no draughts. The slimline frame means the glazing is unobtrusive and the fact that the frames are made to the actual shape and size of each window means that they have not spoilt the look of the rooms at all, indeed you don’t notice them.”
