Storm’s bespoke secondary glazing uses a magnetic system which enables the units to be easily removed. This allows access to the primary window for ventilation and remedial works.
The technical advantages of a magnetic system includes draught-proofing, restricting moisture access and, most importantly, providing the thermal-break which keeps heat in your property, by preventing cold transfer from the primary fabric to the aluminium framed secondary glazing.
An added bonus is that it helps to assist noise reduction too. Despite the close proximity of Storm’s secondary glazing to the primary window, the rubberised magnetic tape and foam adhesive reduces vibration transfer through absorption.
