It’s been wonderful to hear of the ways individuals, communities and businesses have pulled together to support one another during lockdown.
We know many of our team have been offering help over the past few months, to family, friends and neighbours.
We felt Kerry Henderson, our Sales and Health and Safety Secretary, needed a special mention, however. She’s put her creative skills to great use to help others through this difficult time.
Kerry has been a one-woman production line, making these adorable rainbow pin badges and ‘pocket hug’ cards to raise money for the NHS.
The badges offer a way for people to show their support for the NHS, by donating and wearing them on coats and bags.
The pocket hug cards proved popular for people to send to shielding loved ones while physical hugs are not possible. What a great way to show they are still in your thoughts.
Kerry raised the brilliant sum of £360 from sales of both. This was then doubled to £720 by the organisers of the London Marathon as part of a charity match-funding scheme.
The money rasied has been donated to to local hospital, Russell’s Hall in Dudley.
